Here’s something most ppl wouldn’t know about me. As much as I love to eat out, I’m a bit of a health freak and eat as healthy and clean as possible at home which sometimes drives my wife nuts. And being the foodie that I’m I don’t believe in counting calories either. I think if you really want to eat that piece of brownie just go for it, instead of fretting about how much you’re going to put on etc. But be ready to punish yourself with a nasty workout the next day.
Which is why I find the menu over here a bit patronising and irritating, with each item on the menu showing how many grams of fat, protein, carbs etc are contained in each dish.
This isn’t packaged food in a box that needs to have all this info.
Anyway coming to the food, I’d ordered the Poached Salmon Salad. While the salad didn’t taste too bad, I feel like the salmon may have come out of a can. I hope I’m wrong on this. For the mains I had the Stir Fried Beef with Ginger miso which looked nothing like the dish that was shown in the pic on the menu. The beef was actually drowning in Miso and felt more like soup rather than Stir fry. The taste was rather bland as well but Hey thats health food for you!
With rising obesity & heart disease among the general population in the country, this restaurant does stand out in offering something different. Somehow I wasn’t impressed.
