Spartan Race Dubai – Sprint – Race Review

Taking part in a Spartan race has been a dream of mine for a few years. I figured I’d have to travel to the US or elsewhere to take part in such a race as I could never imagine that it would be organized in Dubai.
But this city never fails to surprise me. As soon as I heard about the race I rushed online to register myself.
Prior to the event the organizers themselves arranged training camps held on Friday mornings at the Skydive Dubai training area.
The day started off early morning registering and getting an Id head band.
The race was over a small 5km course with a number of challenging obstacles like rope climbs, sand bag carrys, climbing fences and tire flips among others.
A very enjoyable and entertaining day out wonderfully organized.

The money paid for the event was well worth it with the fantastic medal tshirt and giveaways handed out to the finishers. DWC take note!

This was Race 1 of 3 of the Spartan Trifecta. The next race will be the Spartan Super over a 13km course and I can’t wait to take part for that.
