Having been to their outlet at Dubai mall which mostly only serves cake we decided to try their new outlet at Festival city which also serves all day breakfast as well as sandwiches and pasta. We had actually checked out their menu on Zomato before coming in and my wife had made up her mind on having the Tricolor Pasta, which unfortunately wasn’t available as the menu had changed and so my wife had to go for the Verdure Pasta, which was pasta with a few slices of red capsicum and no other great flavours to be honest as it didn’t really have any sauce with it.I had the Magnolias B.A.L.T sandwich which is like a regular BLT but this had Avocado. The sandwich was quite good especially with the Ciabatta bread which tasted quite fresh, probably made inhouse. One of our favorites had to be the Tomato & Mozzarella Pie which had a really nice flaky pastry on the outside with the cheesy melted mozzarella on the inside. We decided to have the French Toast as well as it looked so inviting on the menu. But our excitement was short lived as it was too dry and a bit too eggy, made palatable only by drowning it in syrup and cream. It was quite a disappointment when you compare it to the French toast at Pauls just next door.
Next time I’ll probably just stick with their cakes.
