This was my first time at the Pier 7 located in the Dubai Marina & we weren’t disappointed with our visit to Asia Asia serving Pan Asian dishes.
I started off with the Dim sum Basket & the Shrimp Tacos. The Dim sums were fabulous with each having a unique taste & flavour.
The tacos were just as good. I could’ve probably gone on eating endless portions of just these 2 dishes for the rest of the night.
For the mains I had the Miso Salmon with sweet potato purée and pink pepper corns and Sumac. This really was a beautiful dish not just in the way that it was presented but also the flavours of the sweet potato purée and pink pepper corns which were a nice touch. Probably one of the best salmon dishes I’ve had recently.
For dessert I had my usual favorite that I try now wherever I go, a chocolate fondant with ice cream.
Really loved the food here with great views of the Marina. We got down here just before sunset and it really was beautiful.
Looking to try a new place, We came here with a group of friends and started off with the Smokehouse Chicken wings
Texas style sharing platter
Texas style sharing platter with Brisket, short ribs and turkey. The starters weren’t too bad.
For the mains I had a massive steak which was good.
I was hoping there’d be Fried Chicken and waffles but was disappointed that it wasn’t on the menu.
We tried most of the desserts but the one that stood out was the Warm apple pie with Vanilla ice cream.
Warm apple pie
Not a bad place overall I wish it had a bigger selection of beers and I’ll definitely be back.
I’m always on the lookout for something new so we came here.
We started off by having a few drinks at the bar.I was quite impressed with the selection of beers and I nearly managed to make it through their beer selection.
We soon got to our table and decided to go for the main course as the starters didn’t look too appetizing.
For a steakhouse I was truly disappointed that they didn’t offer Ribs.
Anyway I decided to go with the Spanish Dry aged Beef steak which was pretty good.
Spanish Dry aged Beef steak
We also tried the Beef cheeks which was really nice.
The omg onion rings & Idaho fries were really good too.
I was really disappointed with the desserts. It didn’t seem like the restaurant had put any effort into creating anything special here.
We tried 2 different types but they weren’t that great and the chocolate one was a flop.
I do hope to be back just to try the Manwich which has been on my radar for a while. But I also hope they can introduce some Ribs & also sort out their desserts.
Been hearing a lot about this place and finally got to try it recently.
Located in JLT they have a very simple 3 step concept wherein you choose your sauce, your base which can be noodles or rice and finally you choose your preferred protein.
I chose the Spicy Seoul sauce with Udon noodles and chicken. The sauce maybe spicy for some so might not be to everybody’s liking. The sauce had a slight sweetness to it which I didn’t appreciate .
We tried the Korean pancake roll which wasn’t very impressive it was basically julienned veggies placed in a thick roll.
Overall the food didn’t disappoint there are plenty more options to get through so I’ll definitely be back.
Having visited Vietnam I’ve looked forward to trying some Vietnamese food in Dubai. Hanoi at JLT doesn’t disappoint.
If this is your first time here I’d recommend starting off with the Pho, which is a really popular street food you can have for either Brekky, lunch or dinner.
It is essentially a noodle soup consisting of broth, herbs, meat with rice noodles. The one I tried here was the pho with Beef brisket which was very good. I had also tried the Shaken peppered steak which was alright.
If you’re a coffee lover you can’t leave without trying the Vietnamese drip coffee.
If you want try something new in Dubai this is a good place to drop by.
We had been to their outlet at Business bay before and was disappointed with the service and had never been back. We decided to give the media city outlet a try for a change and weren’t disappointed.
Slightly bigger than the Business Bay outlet, the restaurant was quieter in the evening with the Media city working class having headed home.
The menu has your regular Italian dishes.
I tried the Diavola pizza and this was really good, made in their wood fired oven, it was the real deal. Not too heavy the pepperoni had a great flavor to it as well.
We had a chocolate gelato to finish the meal and it was really good as well.
This has to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve had recently. This Manhattan based restaurant goes for a dark industrial decor with brick walls and open ceilings.
We started off with a few cocktails at the bar before moving to our table.
Their signature drink the Dirty Bastard came highly recommended by the barman and didn’t disappoint.
We soon made our way to the table and as always I was entrusted with ordering the food. I ordered a number of starters like the
Shrimp Scampi , Crispy Shrimp, Sushi Platter
Wagyu on the Rock, which was basically a hot round rock on which we had to cook our Wagyu!
The starters were really all fantastic and whet our appetites for the main course which was the Cantonese Lobster & the Whole roasted Seabass.
These were massive dishes with flavours being on point!
We finished off with the Burj Waffle & the Hit me chocolate. The waffle perhaps was the only disappointment of the evening But the Hit me Chocolate Cake was a superhit!
The HitMeCake includes a foundation of moist double chocolate cake, a layer of nutty white chocolate parfait, a dense brownie and a Klondike, a chocolate coated vanilla ice cream!
The food here is definitely awesome with the only Catch being the prices which are very Dubai! But get down here, you will not be disappointed!
